I undertook this little project last week, mainly because I had so much fun with Final Fantasy characters in my last piece.

I wanted to do something more classical this time around, so I took the Red Mage character from FF1 and grabbed some audio from "Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail."

The Black Knight scene is pretty infamous, so if I was only going to do one scene, it was going to be from this one. Because I'm not yet TOO experienced doing full-on Flash Projects, I kept this down to about 30 seconds, but I think that's more than enough to get the point across!

I hope you guys get a good laugh!

Update: Thanks for the Daily 3rd place and for all the really kind reviews!

"Chicken!"

I've never liked Final Fantasy for it's long plots and 'Miss-an-episode=You're Lost' series attitude. (Basically, I don't know, neither care for what the characters are)
But what caught my eye was the interesting mix of Monty Python who have recently stood up against their videos being put up on youtube.

The animation is crisp, matches the well-cut 'track' and dialouge, inventive use of the sounds (Kick) and added animation laughs (The Finger).
Tie-ins for damage from the game are a good touch, aswell as not the usual way of reverting back to the movie to see where you could copy certain parts. This is new! Off the block as it were.

My regret is that I will aptly have to agree with the trio below and say; "Longer Please!"

Or... Series?

P.S. I couldn't find your storyboards for the animations on your page, would it be an idea to put them in the next flash?
Madica x

Madica...

I was bad, I didn't make any storyboards.

I kinda just dove straight into the animatic and cleaned it up from there!!

Good idea for next time though, and thanks for the review!

Instantly Laughing

That was great! The hit points were a great little tough to that skit.

Can't stop laughing

That was by far my favorite part of the movie, and watching this, I could actually picture the rest of the scene playing out in a FF fashion.
Only reason I didn't give it a ten was because I think it'd be even funnier if the entire scene was done, from encounter to departure. Maybe in the future?
