Well this is my first game, here it is a fishy game where you control a shark from donkey kong country for snes,
you know, avoid big sharks, eat small sharks
move with the arrow keys. Feel free to review ^^

For your first game this is pretty good one of the best fishy games i have played it is more accurate than the others! :D

Try something new, or at least make it good.
I understand this is your first game, but try to at least make it noticably good. Or maybe you could try something new. Anyway, the Hit range it too large, but I bet you have heard that many times before. Because I'm giving you positive reinforcement, you get a ten.

hrm.
fishy is just about my favorite flash game. the reason i like it is that it fills me with a constant sense of accomplishment and fear.
however, as in your game most of the sharks are smaller than you, there is little sense of fear. while the original fishy game took me hours to beat, i beat yours in five minutes. also, you get bigger so fast that if you don't get eaten, the game is very very short.
as for the graphics, i loved the background, but wasn't really feeling the pixellation effect of you and the other sharks. it really clashed. either find a way to make the background pixellated so that the sharks don't clash, or find a way to draw the sharks with vector graphics (flash).
also, when i started the game i had no idea what the red button was, or that it was a button at all. you might want to make a better menu screen.
in addition, when i beat the game, the message was "congratulations, you beat the game. your score is..." it cut off. maybe make the text box larger.
finally, however many things i just pointed out that were less desirable, i thought your movement was better than than the original fishy that i played. it felt like i had inertia, and i liked that after a second the speed really picked up. way to go on that, it made the game very fun.
anyhow, i'm always in favor of more incarnations of the fishy game. thank you for doing so! keep it up!

well thanks for the review, the most difficult part of a fishy game is to balance it, not to difficult and not to easy, iam going to balance this game a bit more so the shark dont grow up so fast. :D
