Black Squares are fun little creatures that do nothing except roll, bounce, and get up to no good. Watch as two square companions attempt to get by a giant square who is blocking their path.

I made this for a flash assignment. We had to animate black squares. I tried to give mine character.

Not bad...

Given the context. I liked the sound effects, especially on the big dude.

Hmm

That was pretty good. You're pretty spliff at animating. This is a nice, simple animation that is fun to watch. I respectfully disagree with chainsaw728. I think if you had made this a long animation, it would have gotten repetitive, because there's not alot you can do with three black blocks. 9/10.

leelandjohnson responds:

you make a good point :P
thanks Pootato!

Not the best

We've all seen animations that use sound effects instead of words to show the emotions of the characters displayed but this just didn't appeal to me at all, and there really wasn't anything interesting or new here. Next time try putting another element into the story. The little guys aggravating big guy into hurting them is overused.

Hmm...

It's....different. But I think I kind of like it. It is kind of short though.

leelandjohnson responds:

i know it is short. but the deadline was approaching and i kind of wasn't allowed to make it too long. the tutor even said i was cheating by making the squares bend and distort. there were limitations.
thanks for the review.

Nice :P

you gave those squares alot of personality I really liked it :)

leelandjohnson responds:

thanks.
i'm glad the squares appear that way. i was worried they would still be considered lifeless as they made no verbal sounds.
