But tuts aren't really supposed to be cool. Work on tuts for hard things that people might find handy. I'll give you a 6 for effort.
Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.
I hope this is useful.
UPDATE:
I fixed the back button.

I don't undastand what you have done....but! I like the way you teach it...nice look... great job...keep going
First of all, you are try to help others improve the visual quality of their flashes yet the visual quality of your own is lacking at best. Even the little icon you submitted with it is disappointing.
Second of all, I am pretty sure most people with a basic knowledge of flash know how to do this already. Masks are covered in the tutorials that comes with flash itself, so this isn't anything super innovative really.
I liked the music, however.
but its a pretty pointless tut on its own.
I was put off by the music so i rushed through a bit...
and all in all this is a very small job for an animator to do and should be apart of a bigger tut with lots in it. Its not a good enough area to place it in a tut of its own...
It was alright, but making text gradients isn't difficult... and also there should be forward and back buttons on each step.
You might wanna remove a few explamations from the title too o_O
