This is a speech to text animation I created about a year ago. The audio is taken from a real recorded call from a BT customer service agent. The response to this unwanted call is what you're about to hear...

I made this about a year ago and released it as a video on youtube. Thought I would share it again but this time as a flash animation since the words sync much better and is a lot clearer to read.

This audio is still used in call centre training programs as it shows what you might have to deal with during your working day.

FUCK THAT!

Hits home for me.

I remember being the guy making that type of call, it was my job for a little while... worst 8 hours of my life. I had more than my fair share of this kind of call... but to be honest, I deserved them. I didn't enjoy being the one calling you people up, getting you out of the bath, or calling you away from dinner, to try to sell you something you don't want to buy... so for what it's worth, I'm sorry.

Funny but I'm with Mr Angry

Enjoyed that thanks. Funny, but I have to say I.m with Mr Angry - don't phone me to sell stuff, don't take up my time without request.

lol! holy shit!

HAHA

i told you to fuck off hahah

Ah, the wonderful world of phone sales!

Wow. That brings back memories to that summer I worked for a telemarketing firm in Wheeling that no longer has offices there, or the two years I spent selling subscriptions for the Pittsburgh Symphony. Yeah. Those are the calls you tend to remember. Never the ones where the overly nice, polite person is attentive to your spiel and purchases whatever you're offering (P.S. most credit protection offers are sheer evil). No. It's always the violently screaming spazoids and other freaks. Thanks for the text to allow us to better follow the..."conversation" and I liked what you added to something as simple as that. The plain black background/white text for the caller and the red background with text colors that changed according to the volume and violence of the customer. I'd say the next step here of course is to create an animation to go with it .
