I liked the pokemon game reference, cracked me up. Would've been even funnier if the battle looked the same way they do in that game.
The Battle Scene is meant to be like the Final Fantasy games (I also had the Final Fantasy 7 Battle Music remix playing) and just the part where Lollie pop man got captured was meant to be like Pokemon. I thought it would be funny to merge these two things together.
