Its been a long time coming between games but here it is my second submission. This was a collaboration with my brother as he contributed all the music for this. This is our entry for the Rock Out Contest.
A basic run down of the controls
a,s,d for red, orange and gold attacks respectively
Arrow keys to move your ship
There are more detailed instructions in game

It's alright, there should be more to it. And like the last guy said.. You should of had the title relate to the game more.

Also, if someone was smart and wanted to make the game easy. You could go up near the top where they respawn. But a little before it. And you could just keep hitting, "a" "s" "d"

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review. I agree there was plenty of room for improvement and it couldve had more levels to it, but i think that will probably be left until a possible sequel is put out.

"Could have been better"

date: July 15, 2007

It was a neat idea, but poorly carried out.

There was nothing "Musical" or "Beat" related about the game.

Also, Orange and Gold, next to impossible to tell apart other than shape I would have maybe gone Red, Orange, and Blue or Green.

Author's Response:

Yeah we chose the colours mainly so there was sort of a colour scale with the increasing difficulty we did make the shapes different to try and overcome any difficulty identifying the colours, however we probably couldve pick 3 completely different colours and achieved the same effect. Cheers for your feedback.

"Good but could use some work..."

Well, the songs are good and the graphics are okay. They score pretty high.
However, the gameplay needs some working on. The concept of a space shooter matched with the beat is good. But how you made it wasn't that great. I could've just randomly pressed A, S, and D and I would've won the game. Either you make it so that there is penalty when you press too early or you make it so it isn't a circle around you. Perhaps a laser beam?

Still, it was a good try overall. 7/10

Author's Response:

We were somewhat pressed for time making this game, i also wanted to complete another game i had started so many projects that didnt see the light of day so it was good to finish this one. Stepping back and looking at it i like the concept of the game but it wasnt executed quite how i wouldve liked we may possibly look at making a longer version with the things you mentioned on board. Thanks for the criticism :)
