Author Comments

BEFORE YOU EVEN ****THINK**** OF WRITING A REVIEW, READ THIS:

I'm getting pretty tired of responding to the comments, so let me clear some things up. I've been playing in international smash tournaments for about three years now. I don't claim to be a pro, or close, but in the very least I have a good understanding of the intricacies of this game.

I know what l-cancelling is, but I didn't find it necessary to ensure that all of my footage was integrated with it, because these aren't real matches. They are staged for the sake of footage.

These combos can be teched and DI'd out of. I know that. That doesn't mean the knee is any less effective or any bit of a 'noob move.' The point is that you juggle your opponent and knee them while they are in hitlag, therefore giving them no chance to respond.

I did not have to read the manual to figure out how to knee. It didn't not take me years to perfect. Please try to pick up on the humor and sarcasm, if only for a second.

If you feel the need to post about how good you are at this game and how easy you can beat me, please don't. I'm just going to be a dick and say it- I will beat you hands down. I don't care what you say. The people who trash-talk are the ones that suck the most.

oh, and also. Ganon can't do the knee.

Nice show on deep mechanics

I've always been a big fan of SSB but I never knew that the moves could be so deep as you have deonstrated.
The whole flash was well-made and put together with an Intro, the benny hill music made it and added to the whole mood of things.
Having real footage makes it easier to see and grasp and this is easily the best Instruction flash I've ever watched.

65 out of a possible 100.

From one Brother of the Knee to another.

Ever since watching this video a few weeks ago, I've been a rabid fan of the Knee technique. While I'm nowhere near as skilled as you are at using it, I am greatly feared when I select Captain Falcon at Character Select, though he is not my favorite character (toss up between Luigi and Samus for that one). My brother is also a fan of the Knee, though he doesn't like using it, he prefers watching it expertly executed. He'll say something like "Now that was one helluva Knee!" I thank you ever so kindly for posting this.

And when all else fails, DO THE KNEE!

Nice work....but quick question

question.....is this action replay or the actual regular game??? cuz i never knew the knee can be performed in recovery from a ledge....did you just drop and jump really fast or what, howd u do it??? lol...cuz im pretty effective when it comes to kneeing people around on ssmb...low jump and all, but thats just one thing i couldnt figure out yet... ya mind helping a fellow ssmb pro out

Afro-Ninja responds:

Nope, no action replay. Yeah, that's the basic idea. Press down to drop and then instantly jump, then switch to forward +a for the knee

cool, quick question though...

i noticed that you were able to do the knee without jumping very high. maybe i'm just a noob who can't figure it out, but how did u get short jumps like that?

Afro-Ninja responds:

lightly tap x or y to jump, instead of a full press
