Trichloroacetic is designed to trigger both your ears and eyes to create a hypnotic sensation caused by brainwaves.
Stare into the middle loosely for 30 seconds, this should put you into a very relaxed and tense state, this is commonly used for meditating.
It is common to hallucinate and hear sounds which are not present. once finished your eyes may have gone out of focus so sit in a dark room and rest your eyes.

I didnt feel any effect, I was staring at it for like 2 minutes up close to the screen. Although it did flash faster a couple times it seemed and it made me kinda scared. Was that it?

There are other things like this, but its OK.
