This is my first full Flash game.

It's taken me less than a week, but in that time I've learned SO much about ActionScript and Flash.

The premise of the game is simple. All you do is control the red ball to collect the blue ones, which give you 5 points, until you have 100 points.

There's a countdown timer in the corner that counts down from 10, and when it reaches 0, you lose 10 points.

Edit: 3/20/07
I have semi-completed Orb Catcher 2.0! It has 4 powerups, including ones to reset the timer and speed up the ball.
In later versions, I might add another powerup or two, or make some minor adjustments, but for the most part, this is Orb Catcher! =)
Enjoy!!

"HEY WTF!?"

You just ripped this game off. Dont pretend you didnt notice that I submited a game about two years ago called orb catcher. You could have at least changed the name.

ANYONE READING THIS TYPE "ORB CATCHER" INTO THE SEARCH AND YOU WILL FIND A SUBMISSION BY DK580 FROM ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO, THE NAME AND THE GAMEPLAY ARE THE SAME.

Man, when you read this mail me with an explination, OK?

Author's Response:

I sent you a message with my explanation. Again, I must insist that it's a big coincidence, and that I didn't rip any of this.

It was just a little experiment I made in Multimedia class. I was trying to write a script to let you control a ball and have it bounce off the walls, and a friend suggested I make a game out of it by putting in stuff to catch.

i just want to make sure when you make something like this how do you save it in the right file do you download flash then put it in there and then save it and then it saves in the right file and what program you use to make this?

Author's Response:

Thank you! :)

I used Flash 8 to make the game. When I save it, it saves as .fla, but if I want to put it on the web, I click Publish, and it turns it into a .swf which you can put online.

some of the games coming out are too complicated and this one built up my confidence again, that i could beat it at least.

if you add just a bit more of dynamic to it, like stages and obstacles, it'll be pretty good
