This is the second file (Part B) of Throwback the Duck Episode 1 on NewGrounds.com.
Thank you all for your enthusiastic support of the Throwback the Duck animated adventure series. The feedback for Episode 0 A 'Back Story was very strong and encouraging. We are deeply grateful for that.
Throwback the Duck Episode 1 picks up exactly where Episode 0 left off. As a newly hired journalist for NintendoNow, Throwback stumbles onto a dream job of classic gaming journalism. Expect an intimate look into the whimsical world that is the mind of Throwback the Duck. Despite his cheesy lines and disjointed interaction with those around him, Throwback's oddball charm has a way of dazzling many of the friends he encounters...except for a cynical little office helper.
Then there's the all important gaming factor. A familiar classic gaming face makes a cameo in this episode. I'm curious to know how many of you recognize or remember this character. His story foreshadows many of the themes explored in the cartoon series.
Production notes: Due to flash file size constraints, we were forced to split Episode 1 into two files. Hence we have Part A and B of Episode 1. Please watch the show in that order to fully enjoy it.
Also, you'll notice a subtle transition in art styles during the episode. Arthur uses a style know as "straight vs. curve" near the end. This is an evolving work, folks.
And with that said, please enjoy the show. Again, we look forward to your continued support of the series. Four more exciting episodes await you before Season 1 draws to an end.

This series is sinking to the bottom of the ocean!
It lacks 2 things:
1. Quality voice actors
2. Actual writers
If you do not grab Throwback's voice actor by the neck and toss him to the moon, then this series will continue its skid of mixed reviews that will ultimately brand this series as just another mediocre attempt at bringing something interesting to Newgrounds. The people who are scoring Part 1A and 1B high are the ones reaalllly wanting to like this series and are being kind enough to overlook the poor voice acting, the lack of humor, and the long boring stretches of filler thats meant to do nothing more than suck up time because they believe the animation is of good quality. =(
Needless to say, I am not "really" trying to like this series and neither should any of these people giving high scores without a second thought. Why should crappy television shows be given the benefit of the doubt for any longer than they deserve? Do the people not stop watching shows they deem crappy to help ensure that said show is cancelled, preventing the show from polluting the t.v. screens with its mediocrity again? Why then do these very same people all of a sudden find it in themselves to try to like something that they do not really like, simply for the reason that it offers an idea, poorly executed as it may be, that is fresh and somewhat original.
When I first saw Throwback the duck, first thing that popped into my head was "I'm 8 years old and its Saturday morning". I guess that must have been the feel you were going for, but even those Saturday morning cartoons had their fair share of writers and good voice actors. You would do well to learn a few things from the cartoons which you mock, maybe then your series would be a relevant one on Newgrounds.

Greater than the sum of its parts
10'd and 5'd
This is a series that i would expect to catch on adult swim, or G4. to those people who say that the writing is bland and unoricnal, let me say that it takes a while for the characters to develop and for their personalitise to mingle in the chemisty of humor. Also I think what you ment was for this to be a semi-serious series. Sure it may have funny PARTS, but it is not meant to be humouros as a whole.
I do have one sugestion and that is to tone down the ramming in to things gag. It's funny once or twice an episode, but it is realy not running gag material, especaily if you try to make it a running gag in one episode.
Other than that, it's fabulously animated, with nary a hint of tweening in sight. great work!

Visually Pleasing, Cool Concept, but...
... dude, you need to spice up the writing a bit. I want to like this series, but it's making me yawn a bit. Ducks = cool. Nintendo = cool. But you're not playing the concept out very well.
