I made this animation for school. We had to make something based on some mystery, I chose the flying dutchman. I made a shipmodel and took some pictures of it I used in the animation. Making the animation took a lot more time then thought. Be sure you don't miss the extra's!

I would like to have improvement in my work so please review, I try to respond on all the reviews.

This was for school??? It's amazing! Although I would prefer that backgrounds and objects be drawn by hand, you made this look great. I liked the choice of music, and you put the Disney "Lion King" song to good use at the end. Congrats. I voted you number one for the month.(It was the only one that I watched before voting on)

It was a good story, and a great concept. You obviously have talent but I would not suggest using photos like this. Some other suggestions I have are use different colors, at times I found that the colors ran together and or fought for dominance, also a tablet might be a really cool thing for you to use because you do have artistic talent. XD hope I did not offend anyone.

"A terrific submission"

Great use of photography and animation (I do that myself and so appreciate the effort) - some advice on that would be to cut out the photos in a better way in order to reduce the white outlines you can see. Try photoshop and save the files as PNG-24.

The story was good and was animated well. I particularly like to draw attention to the animation of walking, which so many people fail at, yours looked very good.

Overall, very good mate - with time and more effort, your animations should improve to such an extent where you become amazing. You're already good, just I see great potential in your style.

Keep well fella

"It was alright."

The artwork was alright. I did like the use of the photographs. That was creative on your part. Overall it was a nice presentation. But, the animation seemed static at times. The mix of photo and animation was done well. Continue to work, because I see real talent and potential here, and would love to see what else comes from your labor.

Great story! Good choice of music too, and the ending was nice. The graphics weren't so bad, interesting choice of hand drawn/internet-found art. Might wanna find higher resolution images, it looks quite ugly in some up close scenes. Other than that, solid flash.

Author's Response:

thanks for reviewing, most of the "internet-found" art, like the ship and stuff, isn't internet-found but made by me. sorry for the low resolution of some images.
