My first completed game. If it runs slow, click on 'options' and set the settings to low. Enjoy!
-Use forests to retreat, zombies will usually not persue if you dont shoot and retreat.
-Buying support adds a vehicle to the currently selected squad. the number isn's the cost, but how much time the vehicle will take to arrive.
-Whoever is closest to the enemy will engage them when an attack order is given.
-dont expect your men to fight a battle they cant hope to win.
-push 'M' for mission select.

Well aged.

It would have been great when it came out, i still find it to be a good game. Oreo47, you should make a new and improved one. A "HD Remix" kind of thing.

Retreat spamming

great game with one major flaw, the retreating is stupid.

If you order it, them it works great but it is so messed up and game ruining in some places it sucks, 1 example is a squad will be winning, them run, ok, that is not that bad, oh now that zombie counter they ran away from is on them, can't order anothor squad to fight it, oh they are retreating again..... now I lose the mission because tey got behind the lines......great...

Also I had a wierd glich that meant my tank kept swapping between every vechice in the game and a wierd black 2D tank from L4D side view, explain?

I gave it 5/5 but had to give it a 3/10 because of how bad alot of things were...
It really is an awesome idea and i REALLY want to see a touched up version. Things to improve:
1. Unit response: If Big Papa tells his men to fall back they need to fall back, my stratagy was to hold ground and fire until the zombies were about 30-40 away then begin falling back and if they get to close (about 20-30) i would retreat, BUT instead of falling back the men just sat there or when i say retreat they just keep sitting there until they are over run... this is no fun
2. Graphics: Not really an issue, just would be cool if it was "cleaner". It kinda made me feel like I was watching an old tv.
3. The scrolling: It was attrocious! the slightest movement and my camera was flying across the sceen. A good idea would be to use the arrow keys i.e. Left/RIght to move and Up/Down to zoom in/out.
4. Unit development: Common I wanna see a vetrancy system... YOur telling me a unit who boldly puts down twice as many enemy gets noting? (5 human vs 15 zombies) do something like Command and Conquer. Also I want to buy weapons. Your telling me this military unit doesnt have the means to get weapons but can still get reinforcements? Vetrens can get something like more men in the unit, or better accuracy, Have and after battle market or something. the system you have didnt even appear in my game.
5. Character movement: It is annoying! I cant tell where they are oing to move so add a marker system. I click on a unit then click where i want them and a marker is placed where they will move to... ALso some units just keep moving so i have to drive them around in circles until other units get nerby.
6. Unit stacking: If i have two infantry unis next to eachother and a mobile right behind them, there is a reason for it. I want two infantry and a mobile unit on the battle screen fighting the zombies and the same with zombies. if six are there i want to fight six hordes of zombies not one, then two, then three, etc...
7. Bigger more detailed maps: It was lame fighting in this little bottleneck area I wana see maps hills and cliffs and all sorts of goofy crap so i can set up strategic advantages other than one set system all the time. Remember this is America land of "bigger is better" so keep that in mide when making map sizes.
8. chance encounters: Say im fighting in a city and there is a chance moment where i can save a small militia if i can get a unit there in a set amount of time or if i beat the zombies to them... if i could add milita to a unit or maybe weaPONs etc. Maybe a one chance fight angainst a special zombie or group that results in something cool if i win
9. BOSS BATTLES!!!: kinda like fighting the tank in Left 4 Dead but less cheesy.
10. MORE ZOMBIES: I wana fight more than ten, twenty, etc...
11. More weapons
oh and ps I like the auto rereat, apparently unlike others... and keep the music, it was the perfect music for this
