Based on all those games with the similar rules. Click a marker to turn over all adjacent markers.

This one's 1-dimensional though, so you should be able to plan all your moves ahead on each level.

I really enjoy reviews - tell me what you liked/disliked. I respond to all.

Time taken - 2hrs, 30 min (from time opening Flash to time of submission).
Learnt about 2D arrays and other stuff.

To-do ideas list:
play through the 128 permutations. Work out min. clicks needed for each and pick maybe the 10 most interesting to act as levels.
Maybe have 3 modes - 1 where you play those ten levels, one where you play 10 random levels, one where you just keep playing through the 128 permutations. Although that last one seems a bit too silly.

"Nice and simple!"

date: October 26, 2006

I like these kind of mind games, the thing that told you if you were doing ok or not at the end was nice too. I think that this is a nice variation from the 2D versions of this game.

Glad you like!

Cheers for bothering to pick out a couple of specific things you like. Makes the review's worth a lot more.

"Sweet game!"

date: October 26, 2006

That game was really simple but it was cool, like the graphics; simple, but looked cool and worked well.

The music also looped well and didnt get annoying.

I also like the feature that lets you see if you did well or not at the end.

So yeah, well done :)

Author's Response:

LJ Coffee's music is great. If I hadn't found something fitting the mood exactly, I'd have tried other artists, but that tune... I loved the mechanical feel.

Glad you approve of gfx/game mechanics/rating system.

Cheers for being specific.

I enjoyed this game a lot. Thanks for submit.

Author's Response:

Glad you liked it. I wasn't sure how folk'd respond, as it's such a 'small' thing.

"Simple & Chalenging"

date: October 26, 2006

I've played the game through until I received a decent rating.

What impressed my about this game most was its effectiveness in causing my brain to work. What seemed like difficult puzzles the first few times I played it, became overwhelmingly simple when I looked at it from a different perspective (half full/empty) and planned before I took action.

The length of the game was a slight let down.
Overall though I am impressed and look forward to a longer and even more difficult sequel to the game.

Author's Response:

Glad you liked it!

I myself find the 2D flippers too hard. I can't really plan more than 4 or so moves in advance before my brain gets confused and starts losing track. So I basically thought that a 1D version of this game where you only need to make a few moves would let me (and others presumably) actually work it out.

Also, I want to start a series of 1D games.

I'm not sure I could've made it much longer and kept it 1D. I mean, you're doing basically the same thing... I think it's kinda better with fewer levels, encouraging folk to be patient and get a perfect score.

You may well enjoy the RGB spin-off, which I just submitted. Not a sequel as such, but a step forward.

I'd love to hear what you thought about that.

Thanks for the review!

Stay funky,
- Bez
