Still great after all those years.
This film was commissioned for mobile phones by Pocket Shorts. I made it by rotoscoping over footage that I filmed on a train. It is based on a real train journey I was on, when I really did want to punch a guy sat next to me. I made a friend of mine beatbox throughout an entire train journey from Leeds to Manchester and filmed it. I then cut up the best bits and animated over them. It took ages to do all the stuff going by the window. The sound took quite a lot of work too, because I had to re-record the drum sounds afterwards, because they weren't audible on the train and then I had to sync them all up. I had about 10 different hand on table drum sounds, from quiet to super loud.
Still great after all those years.
ha ha
that is the exact same way i fell about people isnt that anoying
Very nice
Love the style, and I love your work in general. Awesome little vignettes set to great and very stylistic animation. Very funny and clever stuff.
lol
very funny. 1 question, in real life how long waz tht guy makin those beat noisez for?
About half an hour - the real guy that inspired the short. It drove me crazy (and I was in a bad mood anyway).
The guy I made re-enact the whole thing, did it for an hour, pretty much non stop.
^___^
That was pretty funny. Gave me a good laugh. Keep it coming!
