Earlier this month, the first episode of the anime Demashitaa! Powerpuff Girls Z was released.
(If you want to watch it, you can search for it on Youtube. There was a link here but I was asked to remove it by the video submitter.)
This is my 2 minute summary of that. You'll be surprised how much of it is accurate.
Also, stick around after the credits for a rant by Curly Sam himself (being my brother, not me).

imo, most animies are incredibly corny and dislikeable
the only ones i like are the Boondocks, SonicX, Kirby right back at ya,
i dont necessarily hate anime in general, but when the japs decided to make ppg into something that takes a shit on the fans, i grew more hate towards anime animators for turning an awesome show like ppg into something just unlovable killing cartoon superhero tradition
5* for depiction
i really do hope cn's power puff girls gets revived
