Too much work spent on details
Why does this film look crappy? For one thing, the timing is bad. Why have a pause that long after characters say something? You have to consider that every second plays an important role. If you think something is funny or weird at the moment, think about that the audience may see it as boring and repetitive. It could be just as weird or weirder, but it MUST be executed properly as to make it funny. By that I am again refering to the timing. And last, forget about the zooms, A great film is not made out of zooming in a software like flash. Better films are done with no zooms, but better composition angles.
So in other words...
Show people the storyboard (RTFG) for your film, and if they think it is funny, it is. Beware not to ask people that will say it to be nice or think it is cute.
Learn about comosition of a scene (RTFG again)
And DRAW. If you want to have good drawings, or even if you want to be stylistic about it.
If you spent weeks on this, then the only way you will get better, is to spend months. Weeks are nothing, so don't hold your breath about it. If you don't want to do this proffesionally, then nice film.
