This movie has a kind of dark theme to it.
It is one of a series to come.
It is about a boy name ramen who doesn't have freinds cause his mother keeps him from the world.
His mother is very sick, and he just wants her to let him have a normal life. But will he ever?

REVIEW:
Its a nice idea of the them and all, but not alot of people understand that i did think the "SIZE" was about 1 meg much, I did however like the story part, but the "ART" could use some details about them, but not bad so far of what you have...

THINGS TO IMPROVE ON:
The size needs work, and more detail on the characters...

((( INTERESTING IDEA )))

DISTURBING

And not in a good way, either. WTF? I didn't appreciate the innappropriate CMF logo, or the guy getting shot at the beginning? What did that have to do with anything? It was a waste of my time.

The darkness of the story is probably intended, but it just comes off as majorly unpleasant. You should work more on making the title screen and the movie mesh properly, as well as establishing more of a story before you just stick a bloody kid in the oven.

Oh, and work on your spelling, punctuation and capitalization in that spiel at the end. In the meantime, I'm blamming this shit.

What Then F*** Was That??!??!?!?!?

That is Insulting To Plp That Love Ramen Everywhere. Why Did U Put The Name RaMen On This Peice Of CraPPPPP. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Damit!!!!!!

I like it...

Watching this movie definitely makes the second episode more understandable (more so than just reading the backstory provided in the second one). Which is of course to be expected but I'm one to state the obvious.

Well, in comparison with the second episode, I find the graphics in this one not quite as good. Don't get me wrong they aren't bad, but you've improved. It also has a bit of a different feel to it than the second one...I can't really describe the difference...More gore, yes but the undertones have obviously changed in the second one. I realise this reads rather backwards... ^_^;; maybe I should have written this review first, but I saw the second episode first and if I didn't review it then and there all the things I wanted to say would have gone from my mind...I promise I'll shut up...soon... XD

Now the tedious technical comments...
The way the mother moves her head (from side to side?) at the beginning looks rather unnatural. I would also suggest turning up the volume on her voice. I realise it's not supposed to be loud-loud but it was really hard for me to make out what she was saying against the background music. It may make the plot seem more viable if the window in the oven took up the entire door (and thus if poor Ramen was enlarged) just because he looks rather puppet-sized at the moment. Also to better illustrate the passing of time while Ramen is baking in the oven, you might add an hour hand to the clock. Now (and this is purely a creative comment) you may want to emphasise Ramen's tear a little more (e.g. zoom in on it splashing on his shirt or something). But that's just the way I would do it, your creative tastes may be different. I would also recommend letting the epilogue stay up there for a bit longer--I couldn't read it all before it faded away and I read fairly fast. And last but not least, I believe that a spell and grammar check would prove invaluable (you wouldn't believe how many people on here appreciate that ^_~).

Now, mind you, all those technical nit-pickings are just that: nit pickings. They aren't major things. The reason why I pointed them out is because I really liked your film and I would love to see an improved version. Trust me, I usually only review the games I really love/hate and I usually only give *alot* of constructive criticism to those I really take a shine to. ^_^

I still haven't decided which episode I like better, since I find them vastly different in their own subtle ways (hows that for an oxymoron? XD). I do know that I can't wait to see the third episode in this installment.

cmfgames responds:

Well first off I would like to say, thank you to everyone who took away time out of there own life to make mine a little happier by reviewing my film. I would also like to thatnk you especially, I don't take criticism badley at all, infact I want it. I started doing flash by myself. I had noone to teach me, so the more people let me know what I should do I love that. in episode one the animation was stiff, and to tell you the truth it is not cause I totally suck at animating, It was just pure lazyness. I never really have much time but I have plenty of ideas, so wehn I have one I just through it all together and see what happens. I might go back and make a more improved version if I have the time. But until then there is a longer version of episode two comming soon. then episode three won't be far neither. Well thank yu very much for your time/ and Ideas. I read and took in everything you had to write, and to tell you the truth most people would of scrolled right through it cause it was long, But don't stop, I hope to read your reviews throughout the series. ----Matty B
