Hear Ye, Hear Ye... The Queen needs a new swimming pool. The King calls upon you, The Black Knight, to go hither and bash as much taxes as possible from thy freeloading peasants.

Update: changed the game timer to be frame count based instead of 60 seconds per level so now people with slower computers won't be penalized.

This is my first venture into a "1-click" game. Simply press the mouse button to bash thy freeloading peasants. Yet it's got surprising depth, learn to make combos, wind up for super hits, earn extra points, use powerups properly, and compete for global high scores.

This game features some great touches. The King's a stuffy little tart, the Black Knight is a big loveable dummy, great animations and music (almost like watching an old cartoon), and don't forget the elevator music in the upgrade store :-) It just appeals to a core male emotion of hulk smash.

Created in association with Brain Jam. Our idea/guidance/budget and their art/programming.

Got a website? Your welcome to put The Black Knight on your site, un-altered of course.

Needs more depth

An allright game. Nice concept and animated well, but a few flaws. The levels get repetetive quickly, and your only reward from beating them is basically to play the same thing over again, but with a different backdrop and possibly weapon. Not even any bosses (at least as far as I played). Also any sense of accomplishment from getting a high score in a level and getting a new weapon, is totally negated by the fact that that ups the requirement for the next level. You really don't feel like you're making progess at all. Also I found it frustrating that sometimes in an attempt to get my weapon to power up I got a swing and a miss. It would be nice if there were some way for the game to detect that the mouse button was depressed, or to simply just have another button for power (I know this would ruin the whole 1 button thing but it would make the game alot easier to get into). Now that I'm done badmouthing it =), let me just say that this thing kept me interested for a bit, and that in general the concept has a lot of potential. Basically polish up the basic mechanics in the next version and add to the solid stuff you've already got and you'll have a real winner.

I'm short five bucks... gimmie a club!

Nice idea, beating the crap out of pesants to get money. Too little diversity in the gameplay, though.

Too hard.

Sometimes I'd kill everyone in a level(Only made it to second level on my fourth try), and I wouldn't get enough to pass. I know my playing skills arn't in question. But it's just too difficult to get far with so little time. I even didn't spend any of my money from the first level for the second level, and I still didn't finish the second level.
