"Challenging, for the wrong reasons"

date: July 20, 2009

Well the idea behind this game is fairly interesting and innovative, but I feel the way it ahs been implemented isn't the best. Your ball can only roll on colours the same as itself or grey, and in each level you have to try and reach the exit. There are various markers that change the colour of your ball, as well as switches which open up colour doors that are blocking paths.

The problem is that most levels seem to involve precise movements onto very small platforms, some not even as wide as the ball itself. A lot of trial and error is also involved, for instance trying to fall right to change colours and land on a platform while avoideing a different coloured wall just above it. There is also a couple of levels where you can't see what you're doing from the start, having to drop down long paths of colour and ending up dying, and then learning from your mistakes to try again.

I don't like this way of playing, as it is basically a lot of repetition to get through, as opposed to a more skill based approach. Dissapointing.

"the collision detection is too touchy"

date: May 22, 2009

the reason i give you a 7/10 is mainly because i didn't like your implementation of collision detection. I would often try jumping up into a glob of color only to find the platform over my head apparently "hits me" before the glob of color does. I also found this to be true on level 20 when evading sparks, I quit there because I would continually have at least 3 pixels between me and the spark and I still died because the computer said I had collided, when I really had not.
