EDIT2: I added a picture viewer and a working preloader. The picture viewer lets you see the flash versions of cels so people can stop guessing if this was made in flash or not.
EDIT: Front page-ness. I'm.. speechless. So I won't say anything. ...well, except thanks. But that's it.
EDIT: Hey, Daily feature, awesome!

To play, put the mouse on the word 'are' in the title. The play button shall show up. By default, subtitles are off. If you want them on, turn em on. While the movie plays, in the bottom left corner there's a play and pause button hidden. If you want to do either of these, go there and press em.

Long story short, a robot complains, and people complain about his complaints.

Short story long, this cartoon is about a Robot complaining about his lack of feelings, ignorant to the fact that he actually has them if he can desire them. The people he encounter notice this, but their points fall on deaf ears... deaf ears the robot doesn't have.

NOTE: The quality sucks due to the fact that I couldn't export it as a .swf normally, so I had to export it as a .avi file and import that just to make it playable. This is the best I could do, so just bear with it.

Oh yeah, and as always, leave a review. Just please don't complain about the quality... I explained that already. Complain about something else that I can actually learn from.

I was laughing... out loud

I really was. This thing is funny. I like the rough lines and stilted movements of the animation. I think the characters deliver very funny lines and keep you listening carefully. Also, I enjoyed the speed. The ideas keep piling up after each other. Good job!

nice!

did you draw all of that? It looked like the animation in beavis and butthead, except your hair doesnt shake around when you talk.
How did you animate it?

Bobert-Rob responds:

Beavis and Butthead, huh? Wow, there's a new one. I animated it using Flash, like most others... just took about two months of work, then another month of trying to export the damn thing. It gave me a lot of trouble, too, lemme tell ya. But it turned out well enough.

HAHA great work!!!

This was awesome, and the whole idea was brilliant and as one of the other reviews said "Witty". I thought it was going to be a flash with a pwoerful message but what i saw was much better. I will explain each aspect you had in my review.

The graphics were great despite the somewhat low quality(less pixels i think). The drawings were great and very detailed so its obvious you put effort into them. The backrounds were just as good as any drawings. The animating style was pretty cool for a couple reasons. The people actually looked like people and it was refined. The animation was good too. Your style in this movie was great! As i said the animating style was great and very cool. Also the feel was very good, thanks to the humour. The idea was brilliant. The sound was pretty good, this is thanks to the voice acting. It was awesome in this, with each character having their own voices and the great expression in each one. The sound effects were fairly minimal i think, but you used them well. The audio quality could be a little better but great sound overall anyways. I absolutely loved the humour in this. I was laughing almost the entire way through. My favourite part was where the robot was running away after saying yer mom....he said"HAH exclamation point oneone" LOL In really laughed there.

Anyways this was awesome overall and definitely deserving of its high score. Please keep up the great work! 5/5

Bobert-Rob responds:

Why thank you for the review. Yes, that robot sure loves his own outdated jokes, doesn't he?

Pretty funny and witty

It's funny to see someone with no depth of thought trying to make an argument.
However, I disagree with the "feelings are overrated" attitude. Thoughts and feelings toward others are what makes life a fulfilling experience. Otherwise, what's the point of living? Making money and getting ahead in life are activities for people who care for others, because everyone dies sometime in the future, and selfish reasons for working and making profitable ventures will be pointless at death; thus, living and working for someone else's sake is a far worthier cause of getting ahead.

Bobert-Rob responds:

Indeed. Mr. Nchos doesn't appreciate them, probably due to his past experiences. Personally I think they're a little overrated, but logically without feelings life'd be stupid... like robots essentially. Thanks for yer input.
