Kudos to you. I enjoyed this.
It looks like alot of good effort went into making this. I liked the hand drawn art that was used to animate it instead of using just your computer.

2009 update:
First animation. Pretty much tried to animate the FFVIII intro sequence. Pretty choppy, but it's also kinda refreshing to watch this old stuff again. Man, I was such a faggot back then!
As a side note, I didn't know how to use layers, keyframes or pretty much anything yet so it looks all messy.

This video was very cool. I can't wait to see how your flash skills develope because what you have here is very good. I liked the way you did the camera with the video having it change views a lot. The fight was cool and the music...the music was sweet. Loved it...reminded me of something from Dynasty Warriors. Overall good job...oh and humor is a 5 because I thought your message to people in school was funny. I hope they amount to nothing so you can throw it in their face. ^.^ Good job.

Pretty cool tribute.
That is so awesome. Final Fantasy 8 is one of my all time favourite games.
Graphics 7/10:
Although the character design was magnificent, I had some issues concerning the frame rate. It seems to be very slow, but if that's your style of animation, then forget it. You made Squall, Seifer and Rinoa look very life-like and almost real. And the backgrounds are realistic to the game FMV cutscenes.
Style 9/10:
You've made the first Final Fantasy 8 tribute I've seen on Newgrounds. I've seen lots of Final Fantasy 7 tributes, and they're getting pretty boring. What about the other games? I know 8 is considered mediocre to 7 and 8 isn't exactly everyone's cup of tea, but it was still a very great game. It deserves a tribute. (NOTE: I love FF7. I've just had enough of everyone making tributes to it)
Sound 10/10:
The heavy rock music is truly mind-blowing. Nuff said.
Violence 6/10:
Squall gets cut across the face by Seifer just like in the game opening FMV. Quite a lot of blood.
Interactivity 1/10:
The play button and the replay button lol.
Humour 3/10:
Not very funny, but the smirk on Seifer's face was pretty amusing.
Overall 7/10:
A worthy tribute to a incredible game. Thank you for making this awesome tribute, and thank Squaresoft for making the best RPG series in the world. And you deserve every bit to be my 200th review. Great flash. It's obvious you spent a lot of time and effort into this tribute.
