Engulfer v1.0

Author Comments

Hey all, Aldarn here once again. This is the final version of Engulfer, i hope you all enjoy it as much as i have done making it! I've added quite a lot of new features to this version, go find them yourself, also highscores are working, try and beat me ;)! This game will not be updated again unless some major flaws/bugs are found, and then i will release version 1.1, otherwise, this is it folks! I hope you like the graphics i have added, but i decided not to add any "animals" into the enemy bubbles, as when i did the game rate slowed down to about half the FPS, and it didn't really add anything to the game anyway. Thanx, and please leave a review if you enjoy it!

ShadowRun Music

Nice background music, ShadowRun is a sweet old school game.

very nice

I like the improvements you've made to this game. Very nice music. The concept of this game is really fun. I think you should put a different background drawing for each difficulty though... I won it on easy. very nice game.

Aldarnc responds:

Thanx you!! Maybe i will for version 2.0 :).

Addictive game, but one HUGE flaw

Pretty good game, but I noticed a bug at Medium difficulty. When there are 15 bubbles in the room the spawn zone doesn't create any extra ones. In this case I had 15 red bubbles in the room so it was impossible to complete the difficulty level.

Apart from that I think this is really one of the best games in its genre.

Aldarnc responds:

Thats not a flaw, ive set a maximum of 15 at once on the stage. Its not impossible, you have to wait for a shockwave which can be annoying. Thanx for the review!

Fun Stuff

Nice Game man, its oddly enjoyable...

Aldarnc responds:

Thanx :).

Excellent

I appreciate how you really paid attention to the user comments and incorporated as many features as possible without sacrificing playability. My favorite update is the "press Enter to replay." The background image also adds a nice warmth to the game.

I am unable to review the sounds as I am in a speakerless environment.

I look forward to seeing more of your work!

Aldarnc responds:

Ah, the sounds are pretty good, shame about that. Thanx for the review!
