"100 times as badass"
date: June 26, 2009
All you little snotnose twerps who keep complaining that "Rayden is one of the good guys" are apparently too young to remember Mortal Kombat 1, in particular the ending that occurs when Rayden wins the tournament. All I can say to you is "Have a nice day".
Seriously though, Ken and Rayden were 100 times as badass as they are in the actual game. The effort you must have put into tying the motions of the characters in all those new poses and have them move seamlessly from one to the next like actual fluid motion with no glitches, that is impressive almost beyond words. Seriously, I'd give you a 12 if I could but I'm limited to 10.
MadnessChampion, what do you mean "why can't any MK characters ever win"? Rayden totally whooped Chun Li. Did you have your eyes closed for that part? And it said in the reading part at the beginning (Gasp! Reading! Oh NO!) that most of the SF characters had been KILLED by the MK characters. So he's not having the MK characters total pussies and the SF characters total badasses. But he is playing favorites a bit much. Which brings me to my 2 objections....
The 2 objections I have with it, however, are:
1: It's REALLY annoying and despite what you obviously think, NOT funny at all, and even less original, when one guy makes a video and then shows a long list of credits at the end with his name after every one. It's obvious you made it. We don't need to waste a minute of our lives seeing your name 20 or 30 times. We get it already, you made it.
2: I get that Rayden is the villain and you OBviously play favorites with the SF characters (or at least some of them) over the MK characters, but it is out of character for Rayden to actually be COWARDLY in the beginning of the fight. Where he's using his flying Rayden attack to get away from the SO scary onslaught. I approve of how it wasn't a one-sided fight, but it was kind of formulaic for this reason. The formula being the villain acts cowardly and the fight brings them to the last bit of their power and then the villain does some super-powerful attack which should be an "oh shit" moment, but the hero finds a way to dispel it somehow and counter with an end-all attack of his own. What I was amazed by was the actual animation of the fighting itself. Hard-core serious intensity, like no mortals could match. That much, at least, was just what it should be.
P.S. The secret message that Ken says fast which is covered up by Rayden's words, if anyone cares and isn't fast enough to read it and hasn't discovered control-printscreen, is "I will ass-rape you like I did Ibuki". Now don't go deleting my post for profanity, I'm quoting the video here......
