a Dark Noir aura...

Its got that dark Noir feel to it, and it makes you feel that its going somewhere unsue of and its not very exiciting but then again it wasn't supposed to be in the first place, i guess. Great work! and sorry about your comp man..."shat" happens. /\_/\

Unpolished, huh...

Your computer crashed and you lost a whole bunch of this? How many more people do I have to tell off about getting a stinking auxillary hard drive before attempting any serious creative project?

What you have here is objectively okay, though it's far beyond a teen rating--very far. The animation could be tweaked, but what can you say to a man that actually attempts this level of animation? Nude bodies in flash is pretty hard, and your attempt is pretty good.

Still, there's very little rhyme or reason behind this whole thing. There's more than what meets the eye, but the sheer grittiness and randomness besides combine to confuse the audience.

This submission could use some work. I know you're reeling from losing your material to technical issues, but at least you should remember your ideas to redo them. Trust me--with this weird stuff, you'll undoubtedly make a showing of yourself at Newgrounds.

Interesting...

As dark and sick as it is, this could be a very interesting series. The animation needs some work, though... but what you have here really does look good, even if it has been cut short.

I should just point out something... this is definately not for Teens. It's Mature material. Mild Violence? Mild Adult Themes? Yeah, I don't think so...

This is how I saw it...

I did not read the "author's comments" section before watching this movie, so I did not know about this flash being incomplete... but I believe that was all for the better.

I believe the loop serves as an advantage for your flash. You see, during the first viewing, I thought the movie was nothing more than the story of a man hallucinating from drugs. However, with the last scene of the girl walking past the man's car, tieing in with the beginning scene of the bloodied body being chopped and torn, I figured that the body and the girl were one and the same, and having the ending of the story at the beginning of the story makes the movie even much more enjoyable to watch the second time around.

Now, I don't know if it was your intention to have the girl represent that body, since I do not know what your vision of the complete story is. But when the end of the movie looped to the beginning without any signification of an end, the plot seemed cyclic, fluid, fully connected and done so without hinting at a true ending, and that made the flash great for me. It matched the surrealism quite well.

Man, what an unique, cool flash you have created here. And what a pity that your computer screwed up this magnificent work....

The visual style was definately the strongest point of this flash. The backgrounds especially were brilliant. So were the characters, even though they werent animated perfectly. Some movements were kind of choppy because there were missing some additional keyframes here and there. But thats all ok, i assume this is one of your first or first flash, so its normal that you arent an animation expert yet.

The story was really awesome also, even without the last part! Very dark and macabre. The main character was insane and it is always awesome to explore these type of characters. Kind of like you did, only i found that some scenes went a bit too fast. I would have focused on some details and key scenes a bit longer. But i guess thats just a personal thing.

What was really not so good was the sound and music. Sometimes it was plain annoying, like when the same heartbeat kept pounding really loud at the beginning. Or the way different sound effects played and then stopped all the sudden. It almost felt like those really bad low budget kung fu movies. It think more environmental sound effects and maybe a cool atmospheric soundtrack would have helped alot also.

I hope you arent discouraged by the fact that your computer screwed the fla. Just remember to always make a backup, it happened to me also before when my computer got attacked by a virus and i lost all my flas. Fortunately i backup them every once in a while. Im really looking forward to the next episode or next flash you will create!
