A man makes a choice with his cyst, while a woman makes another choice.
Emotional response oriented
Anyone who thinks this has some profundity is fooled by the ambiguity and draws, at best, an assumption of its plot and/or intended message. Well, I got news for you. There is no message or plot. It's simply stringing together concepts that will be perceived as "gory", "abortion", "self-mutilation" and so on. That some think there's some link between the cyst on the man's arm and the fetus are again fooled by the ambiguity.
I'm sure the author had some idea what it should convey, but it was lost in the production process.
I give it a 7. A good judgment, IMO. But only for its ability to poke at the remaining emotional response left in people that hasn't been desensitized ... yet.
I know this is about abortion supposovly... but can someone explain to me what is going on..? I know the man has a cyst and what not.. but wtf.
Even better than "Coffee Break". I fucking LOVE NIN so that just made this even better for me. It really made me cringe when he was sawing through that thing. AMAZING WORK DUDE! I don't know what's up with all the "Dark Animation" bashers I've seen today. Great job dude.
Gross, whats your problem?
There was a baby growing in a guys cyst, why? There's no meaning that I could find, and if there is, did you have to make it so gross?
I don't want to be mean to the author, but your weird, in a bad way. That's not good. For those of you who like this stuff, I think your sick in the head.
By the way, I think salad fingers sucks too.
You raise an excellent point here...
Your work here has a layer of metaphysicality that makes it so compelling. So many reviewers miss the point with your imagery. (of course there is the possibility that I missed it, and they got it) Your piece shows how the destruction of innocent life is connected to the damnation of yourself, and you portrayed it with a powerfully disturbing flair. Rarely have I seen a flash illustrate an important point. Even more rarely have I seen one do it well.
Feeling sorry for yourself doesn't get you anywhere...
