It's the fifth one in what now seems to be a "Quintilogy"..?

As good as it was when I saw it in 2004. Also, to DeftAndEvil, you have to remember this came out in 2004, the animations wont be THAT great.

Provocative. Engaging. Surreal. Beautiful. Stylistic. Haunting.

This is where the series hits its groove and starts to become real. The surrealism is in full effect and the dark atmosphere goes from esoteric and cryptic to suspenseful and dramatic.

The voice-acting is still pretty weak and grainy; the animation is stilted, rudimentary, and sporadic. I don't think this contribute to the overall style and presentation, but I wish the earlier episodes had greater detail and attention to detail.

Still, the series is fantastic and created with much love. It shows.

5 stars all the way. Cheers!
