A new tutorial ^^
Ripping sprites from zSnes, and a brief overview of using them in Flash. There're 4 songs in a jukebox format.
Nothing too special, but considering the ammount of people asking about this thing in the forums, I figure I might as well make a tutorial on it.
Music:
Linkin' Park made Breaking The habit.
Square-enix made You're Not Alone (FF9).
Natsume made Shuman Towers (Lufia 2). The version I have is a remix by GMF. (Game Music Finland)

well the name just about sums it up :D oh by the way... why lufia no one even knows about that game! and the chrono cross theme is cool too. linken park is also pretty kool but they have a bit of techno that i cant stand, well i whouldnt call it techno but somethen like that. the other stuff (the acctual tutorial) i didnt pay much attention too couse i was buisy writing this =S

This is a very helpful and pretty detailed walkthrough on basic sprite ripping and cleaning (sounds like a hunting sport, heh). Speaking of sprite ripping, hey, last guy, where do you think sprite sheets COME FROM? Jeez. There could have been one or two more example pictures on one or two of the direction pages with text only, but that's because I'm stupid. normal people should have no problem following the instructions. They're laid out in a very easy-to-follow manner, and I commend this artist on their effort to help others. That immediately gets a 5 vote from me. It would have gotten a 10 overall from me except that I didn't like a line of text at the end about sprite flashes being inferior to drawn flashes. (this is only implied, and I may just be being paranoid.) I also gave the sound 10 because it has FUGGIN' ESTOPOLIS (Lufia) music in it. You win!

I think differently now, but at the time I had my hierarchy that was stick > sprite > tween > fbf. Though now I'm on a wider thought process and it comes down to how the artist applies their skills.

I wasn't aware that you could rip sprites right out of the game, I thought the only way was to download sprite sheets. This seems kind of tedious, but if you want some certain sprites, I guess it's what you have to do.
