First of all, “Q” toggles quality. “Medium” is standard, but even then my 1.6 gHz lags a bit. If you have something more powerful then 2.2 gHz, high quality will be OK.

This toon was my hobby for one and a half year. It was making some scenes, and remaking them couple of months later… several times (now I know Flash this way :-). Nevertheless the idea managed to survive. And the idea is what the story is about. Not about fancy graphics or sound, but of fate and sorrow (karma? :-) Please watch and try to realize what I mean…

Hey, maybe this cartoon will end up at the serious collection ;-)

P.S. Informative comments are warmly welcome.

I don't know much about flash, but I know what I like, and I like this. Now, my problem is that I have now waited for FIVE YEARS to see something new from you. FIVE YEARS. I hate to think you are squandering your animating talents in favor of flipping burgers or something equally silly, so if you are waiting for someone to ask you to make more, consider yourself asked.

If you are done with this and want to animate no longer, well, at least you gave us this. I guess we really can't complain. Thank you.

Author's Response:

Hello, dear datatroll!

Frankly speaking this is the first review I answer in five years.

After this toon I had two animating projects, but due to some unpleasant moments of my life, the inspiration has left me... totally. It is like loosing one of the senses, like smell or hearing.

Now I seem to regain the vision of images and stories of the lands of imagination. And at the moment even tend to try and regain my hand-drawing skills.

It's pretty hard, while working as a newly graduated lawyer! :-) Total lack of time makes me spend the only available free time - the lunch breaks, with a pencil and a torn bit of paper.

But, hell! Perhaps I'll get through life's frontiers and complete idiocy of Flash CS4 and publish something with the new style and story. Hope you'll like it!

Thanks for the support! Another thanks of supporting after such an astronomical period of time!

Respectfully yours,
Volo

The problem is that that method of animating rarely works out, because music is a lot harder to find/change than flash is to change. Changing the flash is by far the easiest and most effective manner of animating.
Oh and btw, nice flash. I liked the 3-D and it was very well done over all

"It's touching."

It would break my heart to find the world it knew mutilated like that.

The 2-D to 3-D transitions (for lack of my flash knowledge) could be better and the video's pace could slow down a bit, at least at the end.

I think that the flash was put together around a music (as in the music was chosen to be visually interpreted by a flash). I think the flash may've been a bit more effective the other way around: the flash should be outlined and music should be found to fit the flash.

It's good and I see potential. Keep going!

I felt like something was missing! That's why I gave it a nine "But good none the less"!Graphics were nice and the music was appropriate.
