10-count recounted v.2

Author Comments

Once I found out that the highscores didn't work, I tried to delete it off Newgrounds, but i couldn't. So here is another version with a link to one that has a working highscore board. If you click that link, the site will load the movie without showing the preloader, so if the link seems like it's not working, it means it's loading. Thanks.

There is a surprising amount of charm in this game which is so simple at it's core. All you are really doing is counting to 10, but the level design is golden for what it is.

Behrooz recommended this to me and i rather...

wish he hadn't. It's just boring it's worthy of a 1 though. Real damn simple as well once you realise your meant to click the numbers not type the numbers, hopefully when Behrooz works with you on the next one he'll make it worth playing, if it's at all possible.

I love this game!

Who would of thought a simple counting game could be so much fun!

So, the same thing, but with high scores. I liked the recounted version, so this is fine as well. Are you going to submit other flash besides 10-count?

DBarbarian responds:

The thing is (like i said in my author's comment), i tried to delete that entry when i found out that the highscores didnt work, but i couldnt. So i just submitted a new version with working highscore so people who want to play it, can see how they do against others.

Glad you took my advice... hehe

It's good to see you listen to your fans. ;)

(I suggested that you have the counter for when you're about to die.)

Looking at it now, the counter moves a tad too fast and it takes too long to read the counter for it to be as much use as I thought it'd be, but it's still better this way I think.

Erm... maybe you should try having a bar and having that shrink?

I got the highest score so far! :D

It's far better with the high score table as now there's a real reason to keep playing. :)

As I said in my review of the original version of this sequel, the way that you kind of need to know what's coming for certain bits is still a wee bit of a problem. Well, maybe not an actual problem but a niggle.

Maybe you could make a sort of alternative version where the numbers appear at random intersections on a grid, along with the + and - signs. Then later on you could have more + and - signs, start having the circles move one step each time...

I reckon it could work and if you're willing, I'd really like to work with you to make something like that. Or if you want, I can make it and you get co-author credit for creating it when I upload it.

Could you please e-mail me on 'Scipt@hotmail.com'?

Having said all that, it'd be quite difficult to make it random and still make it fair and as interesting as your game.

As mentioned below, there are a fair few ingenious parts. The bonus stage, the flashlight stage from the original, the spinning of nines/sixes and the joining up of 1 and 0s or two 0s...

It's a quality game and I look forward to seeing more stuff from you. (Although please e-mail me about whether we can collaborate or I can make a version of this...)

Looking forward to hearing from you,
Bez (Abstract Designs)
