8 months in the making.
I followed a lot of the suggestions from my last cartoon's comments, I hope it shows. I learn something new with each frame.

In this episode, Carlo gives us a glance of his bleak neighborhood that consists of trees and fields and talks about a few things he finds interesting.
Death shows us a bit of his "life" and displays fancy scythe work.
Enjoy.

Its funny and interesting, to a point

The pace is too slow for my taste tho. You wait too long for the next funny thing to happen. Its suffers from the same as the other one you did, where it looks too pompous for what it is.

It has some nice little effects, like the logo, crackling into view. It needs a fair bit of editing to make the best of some good material.

Pretty good.

Can i have the name of the song when death just nailed that guy to the wall?

Kick ass look at suburban nerds

Alright, let me start off by saying i am indeed carlo, residing in Houston TX and not CT. Everything about this film (the insomnia, the music taste, the film taste, and the all out nerdiness and hopelesness of him) reeked of me. The animation kicked ass, the sounds were great, the illustration could use some cleaning up but still rocked, and i loved the brief but apreciated referances to snatch (your opening credits and the song when he couldn't sleep), fight club, and Alkaline trio.

How accurate

Ah Carlo. Naturally I had to toss a review of my own in here. anyone watching this...let it be known...this is pretty accurate...i've been in his house...and it is entirely accurate...even down to the Alarm Clock of Darkness. And yes that is as close as you can make someone really look in flash. Really...you should see it though..really touches that sardonic deep down in all of us...unless it's just heartburn. anyway, Good job and keep telling everyone about life in CT.

MurcurySword responds:

Thankyou, good sir. Though I really can't think of a way to thank you for your review without using an inside joke... I found a way to point out that we play Star Craft too much. The momment I saw the word "toss" in your review, my mind jumped to the times where its 11 pm and we still haven't writen our MacBeth papers... anyway...Adun be with you.

WOW

WAAY better than the last...and i liked the last one...This is really good... If the character is really based on u we would get along hella good we could play GTA and bitch about our parents at 3 O'clock in the morning lol.... oh yeah, Thanx for slaughtering the clock...=)

MurcurySword responds:

So you liked the cartoon, and you like Ninja Scroll, The Goonies, AND Vampire Hunter D? Plus you play GTA and like to bitch about your parents at three IN THE MORNING?!...marry me?

If no: then go in peace knowing that the the character is based on me, that the scene where D fights Caroline in "Bloodlust" is the best thing ever, and that I've finished the script for a cartoon that explains how the Alarm Clock of Darkness got it's name. I think you'll like it (=
