Overall I found the game to have bouts of charm, but ultimately it doesn't work. I found the main gimmick of the mouse acting like the wii remote with swordplay to be pretty unresponsive, and it's a real shame because that's basically what the entire game revolves around. Many times I would lose a fairly easy battle because of the messy controls. Not to mention everything else that happens with the mouse is unresponsive as well. The jumping is extremely hard to control with Link jumping for what seemed like a half seconds second, the power attacks seemed almost nonexistent because the tutorial doesn't specify that you have to click THEN strike and not click and strike while holding the button down. I also don't like that the block button is designated to a different button to block with a shield when Link could easily block with his sword by just having another mouse command. The art direction is overall pretty good accept for link having a weird white outline for no real reason. I really do see some potential for a cool game here. It's just bogged down right now with bad controls. Make the mouse controls a bit more responsive and possibly remap the controls to where there can be a sword block feature and the game can improve greatly.

This one will be a major hit for some people and a total annoyance for others. I say that, because of the controls with the mouse. I played on a laptop and found it pretty tough to handle. But, then it wouldn't be like Skyward Sword if it was different. It would probably be alright with a regular mouse, but I can't say. I see this becoming a huge hit overall, but I'm sure you'll get some nasty comments from people on laptops who can't control it.
