Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

So, my first
submission in a while. It's certainly one of the most ambitious scripting projects I've done.

Ink Snap is basically a drawing program. I've been kinda annoyed that I can't draw on the computer half as well as I can on paper, and I don't have a tablet or Photoshop. The result is a rudimentary drawing program created entirely in Flash. I went through several versions up to this, and I consider it my most complete project to date. The purpose is that it provides the ability to make smooth curves and dynamic brush effects quickly.

If you want to, you can stop reading here.

I do know of some problems in the code or implementation, so be aware of any of these...
- Clicking once on the canvas counts as an action: thus, it will take one click to undo it.
- Undo and redo have no effect on clearing. They only affect drawings.
- Custom colors allow hex numbers of less that six digits.
- Several options look fairly crappy. I rarely use low alpha levels, and would only suggest using the falter effect for people with slower computers.

This is a project that I would really like to expand. If these gets good reception here, I may start a second version, with more diverse options, such as selecting, eyedropper, different drawing modes, layers, etc.

If it runs slow even with falter, or if you just don't want to use falter, change the quality from the right click menu.

Big thanks to Solclips for convincing me to make some major changes on short notice. You can thank him for the redo button.

If you'd like to see more of these, review! It will make me happy. If you really like this, please help out and submit it to the gadget section! It will make me very happy.

P.S.: I know, it's easier to use a normal drawing program. Work with me here.
PPS: I have promised myself to reply to any and all comments.

Reviews

Very ambitions indeed...

Perhaps not practical, but very impressive for something created entirely in Flash. I'd love to see another version, especially one with layers.

Interesting idea... may be easier than the draw above/draw below I've heard suggested before.

Basic but nice

could do with a higher resolution

I don't really understand... do you mean a bigger canvas? I tried to make it so it would fit on most screens, so if it's small, you can try zooming in on your browser.

I not really a drawer...

so this game is not much used to me. I could draw my Street tag on it and it came out well. for drawers it is a nice flash. however a print of save button would of been wicked, because you would have people making flash using your flash! A flash within a flash, I'm sure there's some cheap inception joke in this idea.

Animaception?
