UPDATE: MADE A FEW EDITS got rid of excess slow-mo, and someone ( I forgot) told me that Show No Tears was the better song so took out Devil's Dance! For those of you who keep saying Sonic cant fly, think of it this way, he is moving so fast gravity cant keep up. And in the game Sonic and Black KNight Shadow can use blast without emeralds, in fact there are no emeralds in that game but shadow fights like Vegeta with a sword.
HOLY CRAP an AWARD?
EDIT: There a lot of things I could improve on I think what most people are saying it that it is good at individual scenes but they dont necessarily flow together, and too many slo-mos. Other than that I think I did so so, since I haven't use flash in like 4 years still stuck in AS2 but for this I learned some AS3. Sorry for the lag since some people don't have Flash player 10, because I had some 3d layers so I couldn't make it FP 9 Sorry.
This is just flash practice, I do plan on doing some real animations that are drawn. Why should I waste time drawing everything just to practice cinematography and motion and action sequencing. Just like drawing, if you know how to draw accurate proportions but need to work on rendering, waste time drawing, when you can borrow line art to just work on rendering skills.
Okay so this is a long way from Super Sonic Warriors. Sonic Adventure Z has been canceled, I wanted to do it but buy the time I got flash all of my custom sprites and storyboards were gone on an old computer. I thought why not do just a battle, after all that is what most people enjoy in a sprite flash now a days, mindless violence. ^^ ENJOY!

A little different,
A lot of slow motion, although less than half of those scenes looked okay. I couldn't stop thinking of the words "DBZ" and "Movie" while watching this through xD Some actions are wrong when fighting, but hey, it's hard, or maybe I just didn't see it right. Seems pretty generic, but great job, and keep up the work.
one-sided fight
Sonic spends the whole fight practically doing Capoiera while Shadow is launching energy balls left and right.Speaking of those balls wtf? Why doesn't anyone use chaos spear? I liked the transition from the city to angel island but the lack of objects was unsettling. No cars, monkeys on trees throwing coconuts, or hell even robonik. Lastly I'm just tired of shadow vs Sonic. he has already been declared neutral. There is silver, metal sonic, reverse sonic, sonic's dad in robot form, or even Ash (the one who stole Mina mongoose away).
Actually in Sonic and the black Knight that is Chaos Spear, Shadow does attack just like Vegeta in that game, red beams and blast.

stop complaining for gods sake, it was a good flash enjoy it, and tbh shutup about your unoriginal crap, everyone likes sonic vs shadow fights, I didn't really think there was too much slowmo but I did think some of the moves were repetetive, i really enjoyed this flash so 5/5 and 10/10

the crappy background music compresion
the STEP sound we have heard so many times, and the ammount of times you used it, even at times when it didnt sound natural....
and the animation... really fast paced, stretching sprites, typical. SO OVERDONE
so............. well.... (no offense) bad.
This is more less what a sprite cartoon would look back in 2006.
My suggestions: quit sprites.
seriously quit sprites and get a tablet.
Trust me, you DO NOT want this kind of attention.
You can take a piece of advice from a guy who did these kind of movies 3 years ago or so. You will most probably look back at these kind of movies and ask yourself WHY OH WHY DID I MAKE THIS.
really until then theres not much I else I can say except you more less know how to use the tools in flash. now GET to do something better. dont get stuck on this rather primitive way of making flash cartoons.

it was a great animation , interesting effects , cool qualities and awesome music . Your idea was good , the Sonic flashes are old but they are a great subject of working on it . I enjoyed the ,, special effects '' and some of the slow motion moments were interesting . Yet from a short moment after the fight started the fight moves ( I mean the same moves ) and slow motion moments appeared to often . The slow motion moments should have been used only when a great fight move is used or something like that . Well those things killed all the fun out of this flash . I will give you a 8/10 rating and a 4/5 vote , Thank you for doing this for Newgrounds , for us .
