Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

This has been the most difficult film I have ever made, because its meaning is very true to my soul. For too much of my life I have been a mindless consumer of time. Hopelessly placing value in things that never gave an ounce of value back. Now that I am older, I worry endlessly that this new generation is making the same mistakes I now deeply regret.

In the end, I hope my message is honest and clear. Whether you agree with me or not, please share you thoughts, spark meaningful discussions, and share this film with everyone you know.

Special thanks to all those who have been my strength - and to all of you for taking a moment to open your minds =)

what about?

Your flash animation: 3/5
Plot: 2/5

Yes many people spend countless hours playing video games. Though look at other situations that may contribute to the many that are. Video games are a better substitute than drugs, prostitution, murder, thievery and etc..

http://www.ehow.com/how_2165566_learn -life-lessons-video-games.html

This document informs the player that a lot is going into a video game. People who make video games create works of art and we the Consumer appreciate it and it holds value to the gamers. Yes, we can't impress people with our "fake" achievements, though we can improve strategic skills. To some it's a venting tool to others simply admiration.

There are MANY people who are still married, have kids, have a satisfying job, go to school and still have time to pwn n00bs every once in a while. Seriously, you had a bad experience; this doesn't mean that everyone else will. There are several emulators that Doctors, Marines, programmers use to simulate certain conditions. Video games haven't ruined their lives.

Don't point your finger at video games, don't use them as a scape goat. People smoke, because they want to. People drink, because they want to. People create art, because they want to. No one ever held a gun to your head and forced you to play video games. YOU Wanted to. Some day you can pass your old games down to your kids. Give them to your friends who still play, Christmas gifts. Just because they don't hold value to you anymore, doesn't mean you can make someone else smile.

It is up to the individual to make time for their life, the video game will remain.
You pushed your life aside for video games. Put down the controller and hang out with your friends and then play xbox at their house.

The last part of your flash hits on point. Embrace it, their are millions of people that seek value of your collection. You can get something out of it. Hell, donate it to charity if it comes down to it. You'll feel better knowing that your giving something back.

Stop pointing fingers and take responsibility for your actions.

video games are rad

don't go startin fires just cuz ur not! lol

true.

I think one thing that would be great would be people getting together to play a game's story online, rather than there always being a single player mode.

beautiful.

Almost cried, not gonna lie. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with the greater public with interests of enlightening and helping lost individuals =].

Thank you,

CF

Wow...

I can relate to your story. I'm a big gamer myself and I spend all my time on computer or Xbox, not knowing what to do when I could just read a book or even learn something useful like another language. This made me open my eyes a little more. I'm very sorry for your situation but I have to thank you for making this video. I realized the difference of real and virtual life. I won't achieve anything if I go on like this.
