Good game concept but it lacks one thing. Controls are bad. Listen to everyones comments and please update with a better control scheme please. I would suggest using the arrow keys for movement/jumping and the space bar for shooting.
Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.
Robin the Archer is the hero in Pixeland. This game is similar to the classic mario style with the added feature of shooting the enemies.

I can't seem to get the star on level 4. Is it possible with full upgrades, or is it necessary to do it with only one or so?
Other than this pitfall, the game's decent. I like it.
level 13 is just.. bleh
it showcases the shortcomings of the mechanics.
monsters should not push you and take control of the movement of your character.
that makes level 13 just.. unbeatable. even with max upgrades
HUGE points for a functional and aesthetically pleasing game.
Extremely lacking in functional game design, however.
Difficulty in a game should challenge a player, not frustrate them. Certain jumps were not well designed for the jumping system you used. This is confounded by the 'choice' of getting the star in level 2, or getting the three coins. One could not accomplish both in the same run.
Well built, poorly designed.
Cheers.
i beat level 1 and no level 2
