Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

Author Comments

This is my first time using a preloader, i've tested it and at worst it should come up at around 10%, but everything seems to work :).

Story: Good old man vs machine warfare, Marco, Fio and other Metal Slug characters appear in this flash, fighting with all they can as they struggle to survive, while protecting a poor civilian town.

Depending on the speed you read at, the flash is roughly 2 - 3 minutes. Any questions feel free to add me to msn or mail me through the address in my profile. I will try to reply to all comments, unless they are pointlessly offensive. I hope you enjoy the movie.

Reviews

My 5 R belong to this!!!

Hey I had to give this movie a five. I'm not going to say that this movie is one of the best and the movie itself probably deserves a 4 or maybe a 3, but i think you have the potential to become a gr8 animator, i've watched your other movies and they are awesome!

Summary

1. The way you must click to skip text kind of slows down the flow of the movie, which would be okay in movies which run slowly but when its a battle scene people really want to sit back, although since the text must be read, and people have different needs and cant read as fast as others this could prove a problem. You could try reading it out instead but i'm not sure how big the file size would be.

2. I don't know why it lags like this, but it does. I'm sure there are other movies out there with more actions happening simultaneously which doesnt result in lagging

3. I've added you on msn messenger btw i hope you don't mind, i use flash myself and wouldn't mind somebody with your skills (which are more advanced than mine :P) for a little assistance, and maybe share some ideas or even work together on a flash cartoon.

All i can say now is keep up the tremendous work ;) hope to speak soon.

Thanks.

Wow, possibly the best review i've ever seen on newgrounds, critism, compliments, everything.

Agreed about the slowness due to having to read, i just didnt fancy voiceing it over, not to think of the filesize after doing it :(.

I have no idea about the lag either, as far as i can see, nothing to advanced is going on, so again --> :(

Good luck with whatever projects you work on in future, i'm rarely on msn, but if you ever catch me online, feel free to gimme a shout :).

Thanks again for your review.

That was great!!!!!!!!!! a great remake of MS

BTW was that cyborg dude from the metal slug games???

<deleted> responds:

Sweet, glad you liked it, yeah, i found the cyborg dude on the same site, so i guess he's in the games too. Tbh, i've never played the MS games properly :'(

Cheers for the review

great movie!

Well it's a great movie but for me i cannot give it a 5 out of 5 coz there's 1 problem when i start the movie it lagg abit!

<deleted> responds:

:), wise desicion, thanks for watching, and your review.

very well thought out.

Ah! Very nice flash movie indeed, awesome graphics and animations, my favorite part was when the missiles were launched on the robots from the planes! Nice storyline too.

<deleted> responds:

Thankyou, i'm happy with that bit too, seems to be the only part of it that didn't lag and jump around :S. Glad you liked it. Thanks for your review.

Nice

I like it!Say,how did you do to make the sprites work?Cuz,i have the same sprites and they dont seems to work. Can you help?Well anyway, make more movies bout MS!

<deleted> responds:

Glad you liked it, in the future i may come back to sprite movies, im trying to move on with improving my own drawing, i suck at it.

hmm, about the sprites, all i did was import them to flash, and i think i then made movie clips out of each of the different charachters by copy and pasting the frames from the main timeline to the MC's. They then work when you use the MCs on the timeline and play it through.

I'm no proffessional, but i hope that helps :S. Good luck, cheers for the review.
