I rarely see any plain tributes that are good.

Most of the tributes to anything have a lot to be desired, but this was put together really well. The things that I suggest fixing is adding a "Go to Credits/Menu" button in the beginning and a piece of code that says "gotoAndStop(menu/credits frame) at the end of the bonus thing. Besides that, good job. The drawings for the bonus feature are also really good, but you could have added some form of sound. As I said, good job and keep it up for the next one.

this seemed more like a tribute to Tails...Sonic constantly needed to be saved by Tails, when Tails didn't make the save, Sonic was being knocked out of the sky and blown up by bombs, and Tails defeated Eggman in the end. it's alright. nice music.

brings back the old times.....

this true work of art brings a tear to my eye...and reminds me about how oldschool games pwned all during their own era

now that i know of your existance here are some real good sugestions for tributes next time hopefully in the near future

"nes" and snes mega man games
king of fighers
street fighters

and any other game during the 2d sprite era of video games that became a ledgend ....
