Here is its eulogy, a collection of the kind words written about it while still among the living. They shall live on forever in its place.

Great Oaks RPG is more of an adventure game than an RPG, with a movement and inventory you direct your character through the levels with the arrow keys and space. This is a demo to see what the public thinks of it before I finish the full version. Please try it out and leave a review. Complete each level and click the "Next Level" button, a temporary option that will be fixed in the full version...
2/25/2004: A few things...
Changed the name to "Great Oaks (Demo)" too many people complained its not an RPG...
Changed alias from MargaritaClock to TheJoseph, so its still me :)
Made progress on the full game, I've decided to make it 15 levels long...

.

Fix the collision detection and make it bigger.

good

It was good I dont know if it was only on my computer but the music was very clear and one thing when you talk to the girl and she says shes hungry the text box should go away after you leave to get another piece of fruit dunno if its fruit whatever you wanna call it

Bigger is better!

Just to start off you got a 0 on violence and humor because there was none.
I hope you have some violence in the final version. It is two hard to walk around objects, you should probably look into allowing things to over lap a little. And most importantly make it Bigger!

pretty nice

nice rpg....mind telling who the artist is for that background song...its madness hot like whoa

Sure :) its a french accordion composition called "musette" not sure on performers, sorry...

Good stuff!

It's a fun game, though it seems more like a puzzle game than an RPG. Then again, it's the demo, so plot is nil until the real thing comes out.

The puzzles, though fun, weren't that inspired. Try and find a way to make getting each key have an importance to your character, or change the puzzles around. It really needs a dose of some monsters and action, like brawling NES-style with a sword n' shield! Can't wait to play the full version, though. =)
