I can never make a decent song in fl cos after some many sounds are playing at the same time or i have lots of compressers etc working, the cpu gets to 97% and the sound goes all dodgy and keeps freezing.
Is there any thing to do which can reduce the cpu or similar?

You can take your complicated synths and layers and sample them then play the samples.

Mess with the buffer speed, or disable the effect and re enable them for the rendering process.
