to download a collection of synthesizers, press alt+f4 a few times, it'll eventually start downloading them

This is how you can make your own NES sounds:

1) Open Fruity Loops
2) Choose 'New' to open an entirely new song
3) Type in (without opening any new windows): 012345-N-E-S-SPAWN-SOUND-CHECK-#(insert the number of the channel you want the sound in)-VOL-SET-LOUD-GRIDSET32-EXCT.
4) Use the new sound as needed!

Try to get refx Quadrasid, that VST produces that kind of sounds...

Now don't ask me how to get that you'll have to figure it out yourself, it isn't free.

If you got the installer for it, and have any questions how to get it to work in FL, ask it.

You could of course just use simple, raw square/saw/triangle/sine waves and (bitcrushed perhaps) white noise- it will turn out sounding pretty authentic, that's for sure. But if you don't want to roll like that, scroll through the December MAC07, you might find some of the links provided through the first pages of the thread useful. also here

Or ask somebody who's experienced with chiptunes (unlike I, who have no idea what I'm talking about), Advertise-play and Pixlcrushr are the NG people on top of my head

Well you can try downloading some 8bit synthesizers. There's lots of freeware around that area on the web so why didn't you use google. Google 8bit Synthesizer
