This is why I have never looked at an IGN or Gamespot review in seriousness as though they are always right. I use them as a guiding hand a little bit but common sense allows me to see through sometimes when I know they've under-ranked or over-ranked blatantly. Although I've known for a good year or so that IGN have the reviewing ability of a small child following a mob of X-Box fans that his/her father happens to be in there somewhere trying to grab a certain game before the mob swallows him, I can't help but sometimes check their reviews.
Just because there's little worse in the world of gaming than buying a game just based on box-art and instinct. I learnt that the hard way with Vampire Rain and now days, I try to buy games only if I'm certain or at least 50% sure it's good.
This too will pass.
