Kotaku is having a Halloween pumpkin carving contest and one of the entries was this awesome Alien Hominid pumpkin! This, combined with some prodding from jmtb02, inspired me to run a quicky contest of our own!
HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST!!!
As you've hopefully noticed, I posted our selections from the Treasure Hunt 2007 thread on the front page. We picked A Gamer & Resident Evil 4 as the winner because it managed to make us laugh without being horribly offensive - basically the same criteria that applied to last years' winner, Break'n Into Your House. We LOVE the offensive movies, though, so never hesitate to submit those.
The rest of the front page selections are a hodge-podge of dick jokes, funny audio and general oddness. In case the showcase has already been swapped out by the time you read this, here it is in text link form:

Over Nine Thousand Licks
Last year's Treasure Hunt yielded How Many Licks "2", so the Tootsie Pop references are becoming an annual tradition.
To follow up last year's Terry Bogard's Day Out, Ken's Lawnmower ALMOST made the cut.
The Perfect Picnic didn't actually show up in the thread, but Stamper discovered it after Tusserte posted a link to Makin a Pizza, also by ZT.
I checked out every submission in the 30 page thread (almost 900 posts, JEEZ!) and made a big list of stuff that deserves a shot on the front page. Here is a short list for late Friday night browsing:
Juice
Peeps!
Pants Off Men (brings back memories of Nocturne at Shampoo in Philly)
Spider and Mike
A Day at the Beach
Meter Dash
heh heh heh
Arnold's Lesson
Doctor Who - Paranomax
How the West was Dumb
Cheese
Bob, Bob and Bob
Timmy's on Fire
Heman and the Nazis
The Headless Jerk
I Swear to God
In other news, Luis painted a Munny... There is a contest forthecoming, more news later.
Tomorrow I plan to swap out the Treasure Hunt showcase with a whole bunch of Halloween movies! I figure we'll run a bunch this weekend, then a bunch more on Wednesday... And some in-between. With so much great stuff, it's hard to make room for it all on the front page. This is why it's important that you EXPLORE the site and add things to your FAVORITES list when you find them!
Speaking of favorites, Ross just finished the re-introduction of the OTHER FAVORITES list. Go to your account options page and look for the other favorites link in your FAVORITES box. You can now manage a much longer list and there are new categories such as games, TV shows and books. This was the last of the gray links, meaning we've caught up with all the old features that weren't included with the redesign launch back in July! Things should start to get interesting around here!
