Guitar Shopping.. 2007-10-05 17:54:23

I'm looking for guitars in the price line $100-$600. I'm looking for a good rock/metal sound, and if at all possible, a tremelo bar. Here are some I've been looking at:

Epiphone Les Paul Studio Chameleon

Ibanez RG370DXGP

Epiphone G-400

Or you can suggest some more. Could you help me out?

if you need for rock and you use tremolo, i would go for Ibanez,
here i found cheaper and with floyd rose tremolo
ibanez grg170dx
or
esp ltd kh202bk

That guitar looks pretty sweet, but it's in the UK, so shipping, money, availability, etc will be different..

How could you have missed ESP?

Can't really think of a specific model. But for your price range go with an ltd. It's not like gibson and epiphone. LTD guitars are of high quality, but regular ESP's are even higher. Way over $1000.

If you really want the trem, go for an H, MH, or MHNT model. They play amazingly.

This guitar looks pretty sick, and it's a nice price.

I can't stand strats, and cheap doesn't mean good ;)

Some said that strats are not good.. thats ignorance.. at all.. Fender Stratocasters are amazing.. and new strats have a tremolo system thats very soft and comfortable.. and they are not cheap.. well.. if 1300 $ are cheap for you its ok.. and the sound is amazing..

I can wholeheartly recommend Cort guitars. They are severly underrated, great quality with awesome price. Check out the Z22/Z44/Evol series!

Fender Telecaster. Like in my post just above you. Good rock tone. No tremolo bar, but you learn to live without it.

ya......thank guys

Because I love Fender, I recomend a Jaguar or a Jazzmaster. Simply put, they have tremolo systems, they look pretty cool and the tone rocks. Add some distortion and you have the dirtiest whores you ever played.

Yeah, but I want more of a metal shred machine, you know. I already have a Fender Telecaster and a vintage Jaguar (both very, very nice) but metal wize, they cant' do the job.

Try Ibanez.. or try a Stratocaster.. if you like the sound buy it..

Response to Guitar Shopping.. 2007-10-09 10:03:53

I've always liked most Ibanez.
I also like the Fender stratocaster.

I'd buy a squier strat or tele, or some sort of ibanez.

ya, would definitely go with an Ibanez, certainly for rock... they put out a sweet sound, never got disapointed with one

to get a good metal sound go with and ESP, an Ibanez, a dean ( a lil on the expensive side) or my favorite....and AXL...dirt cheap and nasty sounding....but as far as i know, AXL is only available through the company or the five or six stores that actually carry them.

as far as rock sound goes, the strat or tele is a great choice...but to get a good one is way expensive....the gibson faded series sound great for rock and are only 300-400....
