hey i just started a new cartoon for a short film festival but i am going to submit it on to newgrounds aswell but i just wanted to know what everyone throught of the first thing i draw. a house at night with a blured branch at the front.
The perspective is quite nice and the blurry effect adds a nice touch. It's not bad, not bad at all. Kudos to you sir.
That looks great but I think the moon should look more... different, as in more glowing from it.

thanks i have taken everyones advice and i am going to just do some finishing touches today and i'll post another picture once i am done.

Its a good start, but the combination between desaturated colors and the background-blue does it no justice at all.. Either keep it all black in white, or go with colors :)

without, they overcomplicate it and draw the focus directly to them.
Looks very good, very professional. Although, I think you blurred the tree out a bit too much. Tone it down a bit. Still looks amazing, though. Let's just hope you'll be able to animate it :)
Hey,that´s pretty good....but if you want my opinion,there is just one thing i think you could change,and the thing is the tree leaf....it´s too erect,and don´t look too realistic,because of gravity and many other reasons,but anyway,that´s just a tip,good luck ^___^
okay so this is what i have got for the opening scene, i have added in slight refexions and taken the wood part of and taken up the saturation.
Next i am drawing a grandfather clock that is inside the house.

I have already animated about 10 seconds this is just a snapshot.

This relates to the other post above this is just one frame in a seqence that i have animated of the leaf blowing in the wind!

looks awesome at the moment, but i want to see the flash.
i have a week more of holiday and i am going to try and get most of it done. and when i get a but more done on it i mite post it in alphas and if i do i'll post a link in this thread
okay i added a bit more detail and i fixed up the perspective i'll finish it tommorrow

sorry to make so many post but i havent figured out how to delete posts and edit them but this is the finished product, i have added in a refexion.

hey just a little update i have animated 30 seconds now so progress is moving pretty well!!
i just thought i would do a little update i am 1 minute through this cartoon and i am not planning to make it too long so i should be do pretty soon!
As people have said very professional looks like your taking you time with this so i hope it all works out can't wait to see the finished product.
