The words "Generic" and "overused" and "Anime" come to mind when I think of the style :[

your style? not that unique, but somewhat. your highlights could use some work, moreso than the shading. the shading looks nice though :P i guess no hands is a unique style ;)

i dunno, it just looks kinda animeish, so it's like others... with time you can find a style that suits you perfectly :0

see, that's the spirit! many of us flash vets didn't just FIND our style instantly, we kinda had to invent it as we went on. (with the exception of zekey, his shit has always screamed zekey :P)

uh, you know, there's tons of styles that can be decided upon while making flash, that you couldn't pick with pencil. like, line tool vs brush tool. or maybe he wants to go with a gradient heavy style? that sounds like work with the pencil, but not with flash...

i suggest he keeps practicing in flash. but then again, what would i know about making flash?

Some of Zekey's flashes kind of remind me of Looney Toons, especially Squaresville.

Nobody can really be THAT original anymore when it comes to art or cartoons, because pretty much all of the styles have been used already.

I am honestly trying very hard not to laugh here.

No offense, but I think you need to head to a museum.

Every drawing there, is the same style. Each character is a simplified stock anime character.
They all look like they fell out of the same flash cartoon.

The best way to teach yourself a new style of drawing, is to draw from real life. Draw a friend. Or hell, a potted plant. A moose. Roadkill. Anything.
Eventually, you brain will go POP and you will realize that you can draw anything in a wide variety of styles from Mary Blair to Todd McFarlane.

Anyhow...The first was very anime-ish but it was well done, and mayby trying to do that same character in different poses? The next batch of them was very nice, and very different in style. A few were simaliar to others, but most of them are straight from your very own mind. Continue on them and you might become a lot better.

All of the pictures were pretty much the same style-wise, except maybe the kirby one.
Another good way of experimenting with different mediums, for example (I don't draw on comp much =/) I draw in charcoal a different was from pencil, and in pencil a different way than in pen, and in watercolor a different way from oils.
If you want to keep doing computer art use photoshop as opposed to flash, or use a drasticly different brush, or do a monochromatic piece.

These are the only two that actually seemed like something tbh. I can't say mine is original, but the only thing that you can do at all is to take styles you like and mix them together. It's basically impossible to come up with a completely "original" style. :p

And Harry, the moral is that no matter how good your art is, you're still going to be hated if you're a complete dick.
