That is because you can't tell.
You should draw something more recognizable, and perhaps not just lineart (which is good if you're good and bad if you're bad).

I think that it all depends on what you're going for. If you look at the Flash "Sound Check", by the Gorillaz, you can see that this kind of art would be good. If you want to make a flash movie that's realistic he also has to look more realistic. I like it though, good job for abstract.
