is there an easy way to put a word on a new line instead of wrapping it all the time?

Don't know off the top of my hand. You should check out FlashKit.com and take a look at the tutorials, that's where I got started.
screw flashkit. i'm not "just starting out". if i were, do you think i could even begin to fathom something like a textgen? i already figured it out anyway. what it does is checks to see if the current character is a space, then runs a loop to find the next space. if the length of the "word" to the next space is longer than the area from the last letter to the point of wrapping, it goes to the next line. confused? good.
