-> You've used a different drawing technique for each hand.
->I can't tell which way the girl is facing.
->She doesn't seem to be touching the floor.
->Proportions don't match.
->Crease marks (esp. on skirt and sleeves) are good.
My rating: 6/10. Needs work.
woop.

there's nothing wrong with posting pictures in an art thread, hell thats what its for...and besides, i don't think anyone's gonna listen to one critic and lock this thread because your art doesn't suit his tastes.

What the hell is wrong with you? You're calling people noobs (altough you are a noob), you're telling people to lock threads. You're not a mod, you're not respected around here, k.
I'm aware that I'm a noob.
About the pic. Well, everything has already been said. Work on proportions, faces, etc.
6/10
GOD-of-all:
GOD-of-all, like fadedshadow said, I'm just one critic. The point of the Art forum is to get many different people with different tastes to review your artwork so that you can improve. Stop backseat modding also - as idiot-monarch said, no one respects you enough to care. Mindchamber can do what he/she likes.
Second Picture Critique:
Needs lots more definition, especially for the hair. Shading would look good also. You don't want the hair to zig-zag, instead make it so that some of the lines are longer than they would be to align with the adjacent line (if that makes sense to anyone but me). Lips are fine, as is the nose. Her eyes are different sizes =P . The top of her head is a bit too high. Is the hair on her left in a plait or something? It doesn't seem to align with her neck.
My rating: 4/10. Trying to be fair.
woop.
Well, honestly, they aren't great pictures. Personally I dislike manga, especially when people who aren't great at drawing start to draw it. But if you are intending to draw in that style, you may want to learn some stuff about anatomy to help you. Probably the best way to do this is draw from real life. Like just go outside with a sketchbook and draw people walking past or sitting down to get more of an idea for general shapes and sizes.
This website may help if you do want to learn how to draw in a manga style, but drawing from life and developing your own style I would think is a better option:

shut up god-off-all

ok, im sorry i will never do that again he is not that bad of a drawer any way he only needs a bit of practice. ya see i have bin drawing since i was 2 years old and i am alot better on paper then on a compter.
heres a recently unfinished piece of art....i cant finish it any adivce?<a
as has alerady been said.............
the best way to learn to draw is.......... practice
i recommend drawing books, making use of the world around you. i used to think(still do actually) that my art teacher from high school was a self absorbed wank, cos he only ever brought in paintings and drawings of himself(not that they weren't good, well......if your into old grey haired hippy men)
he always said "draw yourself, get a mirror or take a photo and draw yourself, your always there."
thats one way to get around finding someone to pose for ya
so
in ur case unless uv got a girlfriend who is willing to stand there in that pose, cut the parts up draw ur own hand, or from a picture that suits the pose u require. same with everything else.
thats my excuse for such an enormous collection of porn, ill never have to explain to my wife why theres a naked girl lying on the bed :))
Here you have the proportion looking good, to me just very lightly sketch around it and build it up start by adding shape to the face and continue down until it has character then post that picture....if you understand. I draw anime myself and ignore the n00bs saying your art isnt good, everyone starts where you are now just practice, its all that you need maybe follow some tutorials or draw some pictures from reference get the feel of drawing anime.
Sorry for posting pictures in your thread but, i practiced anime for about a year (i think) and started off not too bad cos i was an alright drawer before hand, but it was similair to your art now and after the year this is a pen picture from reference i ended up drawing like this theres lots more not from reference but this is my favourite spent about 3 hours on it (pretty slow but i like to take my time)

Changing your username, huh? So people wouldn't know who you are? Misorable...
Topic starter:
I see improvement. But there's still some problems. For inctance, hands don't look like wenies. Maybe there's more problems, but I'm too lazy to look for them. Won't really rate it, since it's a work in progress.
yes im having trouble picking clothes out for the pic....im thinking maby a long skirt or somthing along those lines and a tight t shirt....but hars gonna be hard to pick
is she doing the robot or what? where do you come up the the ideas for your poses...
At 2/10/07 11:40 AM, pheionix2 wrote:practice drawing those clothes first
no! bad! clothing is the last thing he needs to learn, judging from the pic the first thing he needs to get down is basic shapes and proportion. then some basic human anatomy, and then clothing and all those accessories. if you learn that stuff backwards your art will look like a well dressed ogre.
theres also a bunch of other things to look into but you should get the basics down first

i get my ideas from posing from girls in my class lol they do pretty funny things
You should work from photos dear. Get the lines and proportions right.

Both you and F-15 need to learn how to get proportions right.
Your characters are very lumpy.
Like they are filled with potatos.
Best way to do that is to sketch actual people. Yourself, friends, dead bodies you find in the dumpster.
Anyone!
