So does anyone do any 3D modelling here or is it all drawings, flash and photoshop here?

I've been modelling for about 6 months now using Blender for a game currently in development. It's still about 2 years or so from open beta release so there's a lot of work left to do.

There's some examples of what I've been working on. They're far from finished but there's still plenty of time to get them ready

Anyway if you have any nice 3D renders post them here. Also if you're interested in getting started with modelling I'll see if I can help out or point you in the right direction.

Ooh, neat spaceship! I also like the glow effect on the second one. How did you do that? Some material setting, render setting or post-render compositing?

Here's a 3D animation I did for college:

There's still so much that I have to learn about this stuff. I use SoftImage XSI, very powerful piece of software.

I'm more of a 2D drawing / animating guy, but you can do so much awesome stuff in 3D.

I started modeling in max and kinda dropped it. I did make a desk chair tough, yay.

It's a material setting, you put a kind of gradient on the specularity colour ramp and you get a kind of chrome effect, It's nice because ray tracing reflections can take so long to render. I'm not sure if I'm using the right terminology, that's just what Blender calls them.

Wow, nice. Did you create those yourself, or just put them in 3D yourself?
